How to apply for membership of the Society |
|
To apply to become a member of the Society, write a brief letter of application, addressed to: Dr W. J. Chandler Include in your letter details of any relevant research projects, employment, publications or other contributions, and any other associations you have had with cybernetics or its applications. Providing a CV (resume), is an acceptable way of giving this information. If this information is available on the web, you only need to provide the web addresse(s). The Cybernetics Society takes its obligations under the Data Protection Act seriously and will not pass member's details on to any other organisation. A Word document of the Standing Order Mandate form is provided on this website. Ideally, just print it out, fill it in and include it with your letter. If you prefer not to make out a Mandate at this stage, you can leave the lower part of the form blank and include a cheque for £20 made out to The Cybernetics Society, London. Subscriptions are £20 annually, payable on the 1st of January of each year. If your first payment is not for a full year, you may pay £2 for each forthcoming month to the 1st of January. |
