Submission of papers

  • Submissions should describe original completed or ongoing research work not submitted or published elsewhere.
  • The submitted full papers should be prepared according to the templates available at http://wosc-congress.nuaa.edu.cn
  • Full papers should be no longer than 8 pages.
  • Papers will be given 15-20 minutes for the presentation and discussion.
  • Papers will be published in the Proceedings of the 15th International WOSC Congress on Cybernetics and Systems. The proceedings will be available at the congress.
  • The author responsible for correspondence, including the author’s name, telephone, fax number and e-mail address, must be clearly identified.
  • One of the authors of each accepted paper should register and present the paper at the congress.

Congress fee

The fee for the participants will be 250 EUR. This covers admission to all sessions, a CD-ROM of the proceedings, refreshments and social events. The congress fee is exclusive of accommodation charges.

Contributions cannot be included in the proceedings, unless registration, full payment and full texts are received by May 31, 2011. This deadline should be adhered to.

 

Congress language

The working language of the congress is English.

 

Copyright

Extended versions of selected papers will be published in Kybernetes (the official journal of the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics), the Journal of Grey Systems (published in England in English), the Journal of Grey Systems (published in Taiwan in English), or in the Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (published in China in English). The editors of the journals will take the final decisions on the publications after the papers have undergone the reviewing procedure.

 

Accommodation

Information about a hotel reservation will be available by May 31, 2011. Details will be announced on the congress website.

 

Congress Venue

The 15th WOSC International Congress on Cybernetics and Systems will take place at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Nanjing is a famous historic city described as “a birthplace of southern beauties and a habitat of royal rulers” by ancient Chinese poets, ranks as one of the six major ancient Chinese capitals. Nanjing, a city with “a curling dragon and a crouching tiger”, is nestled amid green mountains and forests and water bodies. The ten great areas form the beautiful tourist scenery of Nanjing.

Foreign visitors are offered direct international flight connections to Nanjing, Shanghai (one hour to Nanjing by express train), Beijing (1.5 hours to Nanjing by air), Hong Kong (2 hours to Nanjing by air) or Guangzhou (1.8 hours to Nanjing by air).
